One Child at a Time, Change for a Lifetime
All gifts to LSC are tax deductible and will make a meaningful difference in the life of child who has come to our doors for help. Below, see a number of ways that your gift can help today.
Your gift makes a difference…
$50 pays for pizza and drinks for a teen support group, where youth explore self-esteem, relationships, health, and future goals.
$150 pays for an attorney to attend a meeting at school for a client in foster care, in order to advocate for appropriate testing, classroom placement, and supportive services.
$500 pays for a community-based clinic at which an LSC attorney and paralegal can screen and counsel as many as 10 children on potential immigration relief and legal options.
$1,250 pays for an intake worker and Attorney of the Day to staff LSC’s bilingual telephone warmline for an entire week.
$2,500 pays for an afternoon of training for a group of pro bono attorneys who will volunteer their time defending the due process rights of youth in school expulsion cases.
$5,000 pays for an attorney and social worker to provide holistic legal representation for a child whose mother has a substance abuse disorder and who wants to live with his grandma as his legal guardian.
