What is a U Visa?

A U Visa is a form of legal immigration relief (which means it helps undocumented people). It’s a way to get a work permit and then eventually a “green card” if an undocumented immigrant has been a victim of certain crimes and the undocumented person was helpful to the police or another law enforcement agency.
