Freedom From Deportation

LSC serves immigrant children and youth in the San Francisco Bay Area to help them remain legally in the U.S. and to achieve safety and stability in their lives.
We help immigrant children and youth obtain immigration status, reunify with their parents or family members in the U.S., obtain work authorization, enroll and stay in school, access medical and mental health services, and stabilize their lives. Our attorneys and advocates help our young clients seek status based on SIJS, DACA, T Visa, U Visa, or asylum, obtain work authorization, and adjust their status to secure permanent residency.
LSC provides legal representation, legal information, referrals, and clinical social work services to:
- Unaccompanied immigrant children who entered the U.S. without their parents and are detained by the Office of Refugee Resettlement
- Children and youth in deportation proceedings in San Francisco
- Undocumented immigrant children and youth in foster care or seeking a guardianship who are at risk of deportation in San Francisco and Oakland
- DACA recipients in San Francisco
